James R. Rishel Partner Jim Rishel represents Ohio business clients involved in a variety of endeavors with government, including government regulation, government contracting and government financing. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rishel served as the Chief of the Court of Claims Defense Section and Chief Counsel to Attorney General William Brown. He has represented the Ohio Department of Development and various business clients in more than 50 economic development projects. Mr. Rishel served as co-counsel to the Ohio Joint Committee to Investigate Savings and Loans and as Chairman of the Columbus Bar Association’s Judiciary Committee. With more than 25 years of experience in private practice, he has represented clients in government contracting, civil litigation, real estate transactions, government financing and political consulting. Mr. Rishel successfully argued on behalf of the Ohio Liquidator before the United States Supreme Court in Fabe v. U.S. Treasury: 508 U.S. 491 (1993). Licensed in Ohio. |

Rob Rishel Partner Rob Rishel represents Ohio business clients in matters concerning land use planning and regulation, including zoning, annexations and permitting, as well as clients in economic development projects. Since starting his practice in 2002, Mr. Rishel has helped businesses obtain and maintain more than $30 million in government financial incentives for expansion and relocation projects in Central Ohio. His government and professional experience includes membership on the Westerville Board of Zoning Appeals, service as Village Solicitor of South Bloomfield, Ohio, and membership in the Ohio Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association and the Westerville Bar Association.
